Fraport AG, a significant company in the international airport business, has taken up office space in the prominent property THE SQUAIRE at Frankfurt Airport. The letting comprises approximately 6,000 sqm and spans levels 08 and 09 of the building. These areas are designated for employees of the Central Infrastructure Management (ZIM) division, which is responsible for the control of major projects, technical building services, and structural maintenance at Frankfurt Airport.
Christoph Wittkop, Managing Partner and CEO of Sonar Real Estate, the asset manager responsible for THE SQUAIRE, stated that the property has gained a tenant in Fraport that matches the profile of the location. He emphasised that the lease agreement underscores the property's qualities for various usage concepts and strengthens the existing tenant structure.
THE SQUAIRE is considered Germany's largest mixed-use commercial property. It offers a total rental area of 140,000 sqm, divided into office space (65 percent), hotel use (30 percent), and retail and gastronomy (5 percent). A number of well-known companies such as Atos, Michelin, Nemak Europe, Porsche Consulting, and Regus are already tenants in this property, which highlights the value of the location. Additionally, two multi-award-winning Hilton hotels as well as various retailers, leisure, and service providers are located in THE SQUAIRE.
The property is characterised by direct access to Frankfurt Airport; Terminal 1 is immediately accessible via a walkway. Furthermore, THE SQUAIRE is located directly above an ICE long-distance train station, which facilitates supra-regional accessibility. Its location on the A3 motorway and the B43 federal road, in close proximity to the Frankfurter Kreuz, one of Europe's most important transport hubs, ensures excellent accessibility by private transport.
