NOVUM Hospitality, a family-run hotel company, is strengthening its market position in Southern Germany by taking over the operation of the Holiday Inn Express Munich Airport – Erding. This property, located at Münchner Str. 37a in Erding, will be managed by the Hamburg-based group from 1 October 2026. The hotel comprises 114 guest rooms and features 80 underground parking spaces. This transaction marks the second integration of a former hotel from the Revo portfolio into NOVUM Hospitality's operating model, following the Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Munich.
Mr David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer & Owner of NOVUM Hospitality, highlighted the strategic importance of the location. He emphasised that the combination of direct proximity to Munich Airport, the attractiveness of the Erding region for tourism, and the established Holiday Inn Express brand provides a solid framework for successful hotel operations. He expressed his expectation to further develop the hotel in collaboration with the local team and the franchisor IHG Hotels & Resorts, to ensure guests receive the customary quality of Holiday Inn Express.
Strategic Location and Facilities
The hotel in Erding is characterised by its convenient location not far from Munich Airport, making it equally attractive for business travellers, air travellers and tourists. In addition to airport connections, guests benefit from easy access to Erding town centre and surrounding attractions. A particular highlight is Therme Erding, one of Europe's largest thermal baths. Erding's Old Town, the Stadthalle (town hall) and numerous cultural offerings in the greater Munich area are accessible from the hotel. This positions the property as a base for both short stopovers and longer stays in the region.
The 114 modern guest rooms are tailored to the needs of business and leisure travellers. Each unit offers up to 23 square metres with a double bed, a desk, an armchair and a bathroom with a shower. Further amenities include a coffee and tea station, air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. Soundproofed windows and comfortable beds contribute to a relaxing stay. A bar and a terrace are available for guests, and there are also 80 underground parking spaces.
Expansion of the Brand Portfolio
Ms Samira Etmenan, also Chief Executive Officer of NOVUM Hospitality, underlined that this acquisition represents a step forward in the company's development and demonstrates the flexibility of its operational model. She emphasised the combination of the strength of international hotel brands with the group's long-standing operational experience. The aim is to maximise the potential of each location and promote sustainable, successful development.
