Frasers Property Industrial has signed a long-term lease agreement with Schäflein AG, a leading family-owned service provider for supply chain and transport solutions in Germany. This contract pertains to the newly completed LINK Industrial and Commercial Park in Günzburg. The lease agreement was signed just two months after the project's completion, increasing the LINK park's occupancy rate to approximately 73 per cent. This highlights the sustained strong demand for modern, strategically located industrial and commercial spaces in Southern Germany.
Schäflein AG offers transport, warehousing, and integrated supply chain services through a comprehensive network. The company employs around 2,500 people across 35 locations in Germany, Austria, and Poland, developing both standardised and customised distribution and value-added concepts. The new site in Günzburg will support the company's long-term operational requirements and strengthen its presence along one of Germany's central economic and transport axes. Direct access to the A8 motorway, connecting Munich and Stuttgart, enables efficient links to significant consumer and industrial markets in Southern Germany.
Location Advantages and Sustainability
The property is characterised by modern building specifications that permit a wide range of commercial operational and distribution activities. The park's development was carried out in accordance with Frasers Property Industrial's high sustainability goals and quality standards. Alexander Heubes, Managing Director Europe at Frasers Property Industrial, stated that the letting to Schäflein shortly after completion confirms the continued high demand for quality new-build space in Southern Germany. He emphasised the strategic location, modern facilities, and strong sustainability features as reasons that make the development a prime address for expanding companies.
Achim Schäflein, CEO of Schäflein AG, emphasised that the Günzburg site offers the strategic location and necessary modern infrastructure for the company's long-term growth. He stated that they look forward to cooperating with Frasers Property Industrial and purposefully expanding their location and transport network in Germany and Europe.
