Harrison Street, a leading global investment manager in real estate and infrastructure, announced the appointment of three new executives who will guide its strategies in the US, Asia, and Europe. These personnel decisions are intended to further strengthen the company's Investor Solutions Group and deepen relationships with institutional investors worldwide.
Dan Fanelli will join the company as Managing Director and Co-Head of the Investor Solutions Group. His area of activity is New York City. Fanelli brings extensive experience from previous positions at renowned companies such as PGIM, Brookfield Asset Management, and Innovo Property Group to Harrison Street.
Focus on Infrastructure and Institutional Relationships
Another key appointment is Dan Kim, who is being hired as Managing Director in Chicago, focusing on the infrastructure sector. Kim was previously responsible for consultant relations at EQT Partners, thus bringing valuable expertise to this growing segment. These new additions underscore Harrison Street's commitment to investing in outstanding talent and expanding its platform globally.
Internal strategic adjustments are also taking place: James Choi, formerly Head of Asia in Tokyo, has been promoted. He will relocate to the US West Coast to intensify relationships with North American institutional clients as Co-Head alongside Dan Fanelli. These steps reflect the continuous development of the global team and the focus on building strong partnerships.
Strategic Expansion of the Leadership Level
Geoff Regnery, Co-President of Harrison Street’s Investor Solutions Group, commented on the new appointments: “As the firm continues to grow globally, we remain committed to investing in exceptional talent and strengthening our Investor Solutions platform to best serve our clients. These appointments reflect the continued evolution of our global team and our focus on deepening relationships with institutional investors worldwide as we scale our platform.” Jenna Sheehan, also Co-Head of the Investor Solutions Group, added that these appointments bring together experienced leaders with deep institutional relationships and complementary expertise across real estate, infrastructure, and credit.
Harrison Street, co-founded by Christopher Merrill, currently manages assets exceeding $110 billion. The portfolio primarily comprises student housing, senior living facilities, and medical offices.
