Homaris, a nationwide provider of serviced apartments, has launched a new location in Dresden. A total of 53 studios and apartments have been created at Bonhoefferplatz 13 in the Löbtau district, within a comprehensively revitalised hotel building. These are spread across five floors and are modernly equipped, underlining the company's continued growth trajectory and the expansion of its portfolio in the Saxon metropolis.
During the conversion, the existing building fabric was further developed in consideration of heritage preservation requirements. This allowed the building to be adapted to the operational demands of a contemporary apartment business. The resulting units vary in size between 14 and 42.5 square metres and offer flexible room and sleeping concepts for two to six people.
Concept and Furnishings of the Units
The offering includes studios for two, three, four or six guests. Additionally, two apartments are available on the fourth floor, each capable of accommodating four to five people. These apartments feature a separate bedroom and a combined living area with a sofa bed and a sleeping armchair. All residential units are equipped with their own kitchen, which includes a microwave, dishwasher, and a coffee machine, as well as a dining area. This concept is aimed at solo travellers, couples, families, and smaller travel groups, enabling self-sufficiency during their stay, whether for business purposes or city tourism.
The location in the western district of Löbtau benefits from public transport connections. Guests appreciate the integration into a well-established urban neighbourhood and the accessibility of Dresden's city centre. Markus Reumschüssel, Area Manager at Homaris, highlighted that Löbtau is a quiet district with green spaces, where local infrastructure such as restaurants and bakeries makes everyday life pleasant, especially during longer stays. He emphasised the advantages for families, business travellers, and city tourists due to the excellent connectivity.
Heritage Protection and Design
A particular focus was placed on interior design and efficient use of space. The interior design combines modern, functional furnishings with the characteristics of the existing building to ensure a high level of living comfort even in a compact area. Julia Mangold, Project Manager at Homaris, explained that the aim at Bonhoefferplatz was to preserve the history of the building while simultaneously opening up a new perspective for it. The basic structure and materiality of the old building were respected to create a new ensemble with charm and local integration.
With this project, Homaris continues its strategy of expanding its portfolio of serviced apartments in attractive urban locations. The development of new apartment concepts as well as the repurposing and further development of existing properties play a relevant role in the company's growth.
