The Hypoport Group presented operational figures for its business models in private real estate finance (Real Estate & Mortgage Platforms segment) and for its housing industry administration platform (Financing Platforms segment). These data show positive development against the backdrop of markets that have been slightly declining since spring.
Private residential real estate finance in Germany was characterised by volatile geopolitical influences in the first nine months of 2026. Following initial slight growth, the overall market trended downwards in the second and third quarters due to increased interest rates. The transaction volume of the Europace platform showed sideways movement in this environment compared to the same period in the previous year for the first nine months of 2026.
Segment Development and Market Trends
Within the Hypoport Group's platforms, the cooperative platform Genopace and the savings banks' platform Finmas, in particular, significantly expanded their market shares. In contrast, the sales volume of private banks continued to decline. In private real estate finance, the financing of existing properties continued to predominate. New construction, starting from a low base, showed the highest growth rate in 2026. Energy-efficient renovations and follow-up financing remained at a low level.
The dynamic growth in contracted units for the housing industry administration platform Dr. Klein Wowi Digital remained high, with an increase of around 190,000 units within twelve months. Its sister company, Dr. Klein Wowi Finanz, however, recorded a lower loan volume for social rental housing new builds and energy-efficient renovations compared to the prior-year period, due to the sluggish overall market situation. A similar picture emerged in the slightly decreased business volume of corporate finance at REM Capital.
Strategic Classification
The increase in the volume of instalment loans brokered on Europace primarily resulted from the acquisition of additional partners and their productivity improvements within a weak overall market, which was characterised by more restrictive lending by banks. Ronald Slabke, CEO of Hypoport, classified the development as follows: The overall market for private real estate finance is showing temporary weakness due to increased interest rates, while sellers' expectations for purchase prices remain high. However, Hypoport is defending its transaction volume through gains with savings banks and cooperative banks. This success is complemented by increasing product sales, for example, for the valuation solutions of Value AG. Hypoport was therefore successful in implementing its strategy even in the summer quarter.
