DO Capital Group has secured $50 million in construction financing for the development of a master-planned mixed-use project in Jurupa Valley, California. As Commercial Observer learned, BHI provided the loan for the 239.2-hectare project, 'The District at Jurupa Valley', in Southern California's Inland Empire. This endeavour will include residential, retail, hospitality, and logistics elements, complemented by a business park and public green spaces.
Development work for the project commenced on 4th June. Located approximately 50 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles, the development will feature nearly 1,200 residential units, a shopping centre with restaurants, and a 122-room Woodspring Suites hotel, as previously reported by The Press Enterprise.
Brian Jurczak, First Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Lending at BHI, commented on the project's significance in a statement. He explained that his company specialises in structuring financing for complex, large-scale commercial real estate projects. "The District at Jurupa Valley exemplifies precisely the kind of project we can support," said Jurczak.
Furthermore, Bridge Logistics Properties acquired more than 68 acres of the site for an industrial facility. Matthew Dugally, co-founder of DO Capital Group, emphasised in a statement that the loan from BHI has "laid the groundwork for a destination that will create new opportunities for residents, businesses, and the wider Jurupa Valley community for years to come."
