The first commercial lease agreements have been concluded for the SechtM project, a development by GAG Immobilien AG in Cologne's Parkstadt Süd. These brokerage activities were carried out by the real estate consultants at Greif & Contzen. SechtM represents an important urban contribution to the development of Parkstadt Süd, a project that integrates both residential and commercial spaces.
A significant agreement concerns RW Showrooms GmbH, an internationally active company from Austria. The company is leasing an area of approximately 800 m². RW Showrooms, which maintains nine locations in the DACH region, is relocating its current Cologne site from Mediapark to the south of Cologne. This move involves a significant expansion of the utilised space. The management emphasised that the new location is strategically excellent and offers the team and customers numerous amenities, including modern infrastructure and a semi-public car park directly adjacent to the building.
In addition to RW Showrooms, the newly founded organic bakery Brød Fründe is moving into the project. This concept, which combines Scandinavian baking art with "Kölsch hospitality", will occupy an area of around 260 m² in the new SechtM building. The centrepiece is a glass bakery with an adjoining café spanning approximately 127 m². Fresh baked goods made from selected organic ingredients are to be produced there daily. Both RW Showrooms and Brød Fründe plan their opening for the end of the year.
The overall SechtM project comprises 211 flats, serving various segments, from student apartments to premium penthouse units. The flats are almost fully let. The focus of marketing activities is therefore on the remaining commercial units. Greif & Contzen is already conducting concrete negotiations for the remaining five commercial spaces.
The development of SechtM by GAG Immobilien AG is evidence of the ongoing strengthening of urban infrastructure in Cologne's Parkstadt Süd, with the integration of living and working environments being a key focus.
