The IPH Group has successfully concluded the brokering of the first Munich location for the BASECOFFEE gastronomy concept. The concept secured approximately 230 square metres of rental space and an outdoor area in the Meiller Gärten development project. The long-term lease agreement has already been signed, with the opening scheduled for early 2027. With this establishment, BASECOFFEE is expanding into Munich, reaching its ninth location in Germany.
The choice of location in the Meiller Gärten underscores the attractiveness of this new urban quarter. According to Marcus Duwe, Managing Director of BASECOFFEE, the company is entering one of Germany's most relevant gastronomy markets with Munich. The conditions in the Meiller Gärten are considered ideal for establishing the BASECOFFEE brand in the Bavarian metropolis. The management looks forward to the opening in early 2027.
Quarter Development as a Success Factor
Lukas Bauer, Senior Consultant at IPH, expressed his positive views on accompanying BASECOFFEE on its way to Munich. He emphasised that the concept brings a modern brunch offering to the new quarter. The letting carried out demonstrates that attractive urban quarters can create the necessary conditions for innovative brands.
The Meiller Gärten is a development by Rathgeber AG and F.X. Meiller Gelände-GmbH & Co. KG in Munich's northwest, near Moosach station. The quarter is designed as a high-quality residential project, integrating housing, kindergartens, a boarding house, local amenities, gastronomy, and office spaces. It combines urban life with a high quality of living in a green context.
BASECOFFEE Concept and Brand
BASECOFFEE was founded in Bamberg in 2019. The concept focuses on an all-day brunch offering, which includes a variety of dishes such as pancakes, bowls, and toasts, as well as freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. BASECOFFEE was awarded the Red Dot Design Award for its brand concept. The organic coffee beans used are sourced exclusively through 'Direct Trade' directly from local coffee farms and then processed in the company's own roastery in Bamberg.
