John Oates, the singer-songwriter from Hall & Oates, has sold his extensive ranch in Woody Creek, outside Aspen, Colorado, for $6.9 million. The property was offered for $7.5 million in June 2026 and found a buyer within just 10 days, with the sale closing at the end of July. Oates and his wife Aimee owned the property for approximately 35 years, gradually developing the area, which initially consisted of wasteland with two dilapidated cabins, into a private mountain sanctuary with a 4,706 square foot log home.

Aimee Oates had encouraged her husband, even before their marriage, to consider an Aspen ranch instead of a smaller downtown property.
