The project developer and asset manager KIMAVI, in cooperation with an institutional investor, has purchased a plot in a central location in Berlin-Neukölln. The site, situated on Silbersteinstraße, is located between the Neukölln and Hermannstraße S-Bahn stations, in close proximity to Körnerpark. This acquisition marks KIMAVI's third land transaction of this type in this district.
The acquired plot measures 949 m². Plans envisage the realisation of inner-city residential space on this area. It is intended to create over 50 residential units there. The project's development is entering its next phase following the land acquisition.
Background and location of the site
The plot had been in family ownership for over 70 years. The previous owners operated a roofing business on this site. An alternative location in the immediate vicinity was secured for the continuation of the business. This allows the company to continue its activities in its traditional neighbourhood.
The location in Berlin-Neukölln is characterised by its urbanity and good public transport connections. Its proximity to facilities such as Körnerpark contributes to the attractiveness of the site. The creation of residential space in such established inner-city locations meets current demand trends in Berlin.
The parties involved have agreed to keep the details of the purchase price confidential. Such confidentiality agreements are common in the real estate sector, especially for transactions of this magnitude and in this market environment.
