LEWO AG has celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its project "SEEGOLD³" in the Leipzig New Lakeland. The multi-family house is being built at Pleißendamm 2-8 in Markkleeberg and comprises 91 residential units, with completion scheduled for the end of 2027. The project involves a total investment volume of approximately EUR 34 million. The shell construction is complete, and construction work is progressing as planned.
The project was fully marketed even at the time of the topping-out ceremony. All 91 flats were sold to capital investors within approximately twelve months. This underscores the demand for energy-efficient new builds in the Leipzig real estate market. Mandy Klabes, a member of the Executive Board of LEWO AG, stated that the short sales period for "SEEGOLD³" confirms the company's strategy and choice of location; energy-efficient new construction and optimised floor plans meet market requirements.
The building is divided into four entrances and offers two, three, and four-room flats with living areas of approximately 42 to about 77 square metres. The floor plans are designed for functionality and long-term lettability. Amenities include underfloor heating, real wood parquet flooring, modern bathrooms with large mirrors and integrated lighting systems, as well as balconies and terraces that are south-facing. Fitted kitchens are planned for some areas.
A core element of the project is its energy concept, developed according to the LEWO standard "ECO 2.0". The building achieves energy efficiency class A+ and meets the criteria of the Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings (QNG PLUS). A photovoltaic system with battery storage is used, along with coordinated building technology. The energy generated is fed directly into the project, which reduces external electricity consumption and minimises operating costs. Surplus energy can be used for cooling via the underfloor heating in the summer months. Construction is being carried out by Köster GmbH as the general contractor; project management is handled by LEWOPLAN Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH.
The site will include a total of 52 garage parking spaces and 39 outdoor parking spaces, all of which are equipped with charging facilities. In addition, individual flats have separate storage rooms with staircase access, which allow for charging e-bikes, among other things. Stephan Praus, also a member of the Executive Board of LEWO AG, noted that "SEEGOLD³" demonstrates that ecological quality and economic viability are not mutually exclusive but rather reinforce each other. He emphasised that in a challenging market environment, clear product logic, energy efficiency, and robust cost structures determine sales success.
The Markkleeberg location in the Leipzig New Lakeland is characterised by its proximity to Leipzig city centre and connectivity via federal highway B2 and public transport. At the same time, the surrounding area, with its numerous lakes, offers a high quality of living and leisure. With "SEEGOLD³", LEWO AG is realising its third project in Markkleeberg; a fourth project, "SOL Y VIDA", is also in sales in Markkleeberg. In parallel, further projects such as PURA VIDA are being let, and STILLE POST, HAFENWERK, LA VIDA – SAKURA in Gohlis, and THE ONE in Connewitz in Chemnitz and Leipzig are under construction. The developer also plans projects in Probstheida and Leutzsch, among other locations.
