UmweltBank AG and VIVAWEST Wohnen GmbH have finalised financing for the energy-efficient modernisation of existing buildings. Under the agreement, a total of 20 existing buildings, comprising 242 residential units, will undergo comprehensive renovation to bring them up to contemporary energy standards.
The financing by UmweltBank AG covers projects in various North Rhine-Westphalian districts, including locations in Düsseldorf, Gelsenkirchen, Marl and Münster. This geographical distribution allows the modernisation measures to have a broad impact across key urban centres in the region. VIVAWEST is focusing on sustainability and the long-term value development of the housing.

The planned measures aim to significantly reduce the buildings' energy consumption. Primary steps include replacing old heating systems with modern, more energy-efficient systems, as well as insulating roofs and facades.
