DQuadrat Living GmbH will take over the operation of the Intercity Hotel in Bonn on 1 October 2026. The property, strategically located directly at Bonn Central Station, will be managed under the Mercure Hotel Bonn City Center brand after the acquisition. Through this acquisition, the company expands its portfolio to a total of ten hotel locations, thus strengthening its presence in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Jens Philipsenburg, Managing Director of DQuadrat Living GmbH, commented on the takeover, emphasising the attractiveness and strategic importance of the Bonn location for the company. He explained that hotel operations under the new Mercure Hotel Bonn City Center brand will continue seamlessly from the aforementioned date. In the months before and after the rebranding, gradual further developments and comprehensive renovation measures are planned to adapt the establishment to Mercure standards.
Hotel Location and Amenities
The hotel in question in Bonn has 161 rooms and offers guests an integrated restaurant and bar. Additionally, a private car park equipped with EV charging stations is available. Its direct location at Bonn Central Station ensures optimal accessibility for both business travellers and tourists. Bonn city centre, as well as numerous cultural attractions, are easily accessible from this location either on foot or by public transport.
Currently, the property is still operated under the Intercity Hotel brand by Revo Hospitality. The change of operator on 1 October marks the beginning of the hotel's transformation to the new brand. A key aspect of the takeover is the retention of the existing hotel team. DQuadrat Living places importance on continuity here to secure the employees' existing expertise and local knowledge and to ensure a smooth transition for guests.
