On 1 July 2026, Marc Billeb took over the leading position as Spokesperson of the Management Board of PwC Germany. The company's approximately 700 partners had already appointed Mr Billeb in the first round of voting in December of the previous year. This decision was subsequently confirmed by the Supervisory Board, which appointed Billeb and his nominated leadership team for the upcoming term of office. In this role, Marc Billeb succeeds Petra Justenhoven, who did not stand for re-election and left PwC on 30 June 2026.

Marc Billeb paid tribute to the outgoing spokesperson, stating that Petra Justenhoven had led PwC Germany with commitment, clear conviction, and entrepreneurial foresight through a phase of geopolitical tensions and difficult economic development in Germany. She had shaped PwC in various roles over the years and at the same time set important courses for the future development of the company. Marc Billeb expressed his delight at the trust placed in him by the partners and the opportunity to actively continue shaping this future.

Strategically, Marc Billeb focuses on consistent market orientation and pronounced industry expertise. The company will continue to maintain its integrated business model of auditing and consulting as its core competence. PwC Germany distinguishes itself by being one of the few providers to unite Tax & Legal, Assurance, Consulting, and Deals under one roof. In addition, growth pillars such as Managed Services, collaborations with alliance partners, and the development of digital solutions will be strengthened.

A key focus is on technological acceleration. Marc Billeb plans to drive the firm-wide strategy for technology, data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and make corresponding investments. In particular, an AI upskilling of employees at all levels is planned. Marc Billeb emphasised that PwC delivers not only technology but also tangible results. The aim is to help clients make optimal use of AI, technology, and data to strengthen teams and improve the entire value chain. In conjunction with industry expertise, secure, scalable, and tailor-made solutions are to be achieved. This leads to PwC Intelligence, which combines proprietary expertise on projects, industries, benchmarks, and regulations with state-of-the-art technology.

Marc Billeb, 54, is a tax advisor and auditor and has been with PwC Germany since 1998. He has been a partner since 2008 and has held various leadership positions in auditing and management consulting in the past. Since July 2023, he headed the Risk and Regulatory division. He stated that he had already positively developed several business units at PwC and is now taking on this growth responsibility for the entire company. PwC is the market leader in Germany and, as a technology leader, plays a decisive role in shaping the AI transformation of the economy and society, supported by highly qualified employees and a culture that promotes international collaboration and innovation.

In addition to his role as Spokesperson of the Management Board of PwC Germany, Marc Billeb was elected as the new Senior Partner by the partnership of PwC Europe. In this role, he also succeeds Petra Justenhoven on 1 July, who had held this position since July 2022. PwC Europe is an amalgamation of the PwC national firms in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, and Turkey. This amalgamation enables clients to be served across borders from a single source. As the strategic head of PwC's activities within PwC Europe, Marc Billeb will drive joint investments, growth initiatives, and transformation programmes, as well as strengthen close cooperation with the firms within the global PwC network.
