Marcus Day has joined LaSalle Investment Management to take over as Head of the Global Solutions Division. This strategic personnel appointment was announced on 13 October 2026. Day, who previously held a leading role at Brookfield Asset Management, will report directly to CEO Brad Gries and officially assume his new position on 1 January 2027.

In his new role at LaSalle, Day will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for LaSalle's multi-manager, fund-of-funds, joint venture, and co-investment platforms. The private indirect investment portfolio he will lead for LaSalle comprises a volume of 10 billion US dollars.

Strategic Advantages Through Global Connectivity

Day expressed positivity about the new task, emphasising the synergies arising from the connection of the LaSalle and JLL platforms. He highlighted that in indirect investments, access to the global research capabilities, local market intelligence, and extensive transaction flow of JLL and LaSalle represents a decisive informational advantage. This platform strength enables more effective risk assessment and the identification of unique global investment opportunities. The market for indirect investments and liquidity solutions offers significant growth opportunities.

Marcus Day's Career History

Before joining LaSalle, Day served as Co-Head of the Real Estate Secondaries platform at Brookfield since 2020. Prior to that, he was Head of Acquisitions and Real Estate Secondaries at Partners Group for four years. Day began his career in 2006 as a Senior Associate at Winten Property Group, where he oversaw acquisitions, asset management, and property development projects.

Brad Gries highlighted Day's extensive experience: Day significantly contributed to building and scaling a global investment platform, possesses deep relationships with sponsors and investors, and has led investments across the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. He brings precisely the expertise LaSalle Global Solutions needs to serve clients and further expand the business by fully leveraging the in-depth market intelligence and global presence of the LaSalle and JLL networks.
