Mesa West Capital is providing US$81 million in financing for the refinancing of the Atlas Peakview apartment complex. This measure enables the ownership group, consisting of Dinerstein Companies and PGIM, to optimise the capital structure for the 330-unit property south of Denver.
The transaction was preceded by Mesa West Capital securing the debt in the form of a short-term senior loan. Walker & Dunlop, represented by Tom Melody and Paul House, arranged the transaction. Another person involved was John Melody, who recently moved from Walker & Dunlop to Transwestern. The news was first published by Commercial Observer.
Positive Letting Development and Strategic Location
Brian Hirsh, Head of the Central Region at Mesa West Capital, emphasised that Atlas Peakview has shown positive letting figures since its opening in 2025. By the second quarter of last year, the property had already achieved an occupancy rate of 85 per cent. Hirsh stated that the financing would provide the sponsor with a new foundation to continue to benefit from the strong demand for high-quality and well-appointed housing in the attractive Denver Tech Centre location.
The Atlas Peakview complex is located at 7800 East Peakview Avenue in the suburb of Centennial, Denver. The offering includes a variety of apartment types, from studios to three-bedroom flats. The location provides good access to Interstate 25 and is only 13 miles southeast of downtown Denver.
Extensive Amenities and Investment Focus
The property is characterised by extensive amenities designed to offer residents a high level of living comfort. These facilities include:
- —A resort-style swimming pool
- —An outdoor cooking area
- —A sky lounge
- —A fitness centre
- —A media centre
- —A pet washing facility
- —A speakeasy-style bar
The refinancing of Atlas Peakview is another example of Mesa West's strategy to provide short-term mortgage loans. In total, the company has already provided US$800 million in short-term debt in the first six months of 2026. Steve Fried, Head of Originations at Mesa West, noted that Mesa West continues to finance high-quality assets in well-located markets with enduring demand drivers and improving operating data.
