MKE Munich Investment has communicated the start of the "MK7" project on Moskauer Straße in Düsseldorf. A mixed-use district will be realised on a site of approximately 5,100 square metres in the city centre, not far from the main railway station. The project comprises around 200 subsidised residential units and about 100 care places. The total gross floor area of the project amounts to approximately 20,800 square metres.

This project is one of the most extensive current new build projects in the state capital Düsseldorf in the segment of subsidised housing and care. The underlying utilisation concept integrates necessary social infrastructure. It includes accommodation for apprentices, publicly subsidised rental flats, and an inpatient care facility.

Structure and parties involved in the realisation

The project is being implemented as part of a joint venture with Fotex Holding SE. The coordination of the realisation in Luxembourg is being handled by White Oak Management S.A. as a service provider partner. beonti S.A. from Luxembourg played a central role in the transaction, accompanying the structuring from the outset and contributing expert knowledge.

Teodor Enev, Managing Director of MKE Munich Investment GmbH, emphasised that MK7 will meet essential housing and care needs in a central location in Düsseldorf. He highlighted that the combination of inpatient care, subsidised housing, and apprentice accommodation on this scale is to be classified as unique for the city of Düsseldorf. Enev expressed his gratitude to the partners in Luxembourg, namely Fotex Holding, White Oak Management S.A., and beonti S.A., whose cooperation significantly contributed to establishing this partnership.

Benefits and scope of the concept

  • Around 100 accommodation places for apprentices are planned.
  • Up to 100 publicly subsidised rental flats will be created.
  • A fully inpatient care facility with approximately 100 places will be integrated.

The planned structure addresses various segments of social and demographic development in urban centres. By concentrating different forms of housing and care services at one location, synergy is sought to counteract the scarcity of appropriate housing and care capacities in Düsseldorf. The MK7 project thus contributes to the infrastructural development of the city.
