Rebecca Scheidler, who launched Engel & Völkers Finance Germany in 2014 and built it into an established loan brokerage, has returned to the market with a new company following her departure by mutual agreement in October 2025. Together with Fabian Schulz, she is taking over the management of the newly founded highfive GmbH. A large part of her former team is joining the new venture.
Behind the new company are five partners who combine many years of market knowledge, varied specialist expertise and an existing industry network. The firm is commencing operations with almost ten staff members, most of whom have already worked closely together in the past. A further expansion of the advisory team to include experienced financing experts is planned for the future.
Lean structures and room for competitive terms
The operating model of highfive GmbH relies on flat hierarchies, efficient process structures and low administrative costs. According to the management, this lean setup is intended to create financial leeway that can be passed directly on to property buyers. Even minor interest rate advantages lead to noticeable savings over the agreed fixed-rate period and can prove decisive for the sustainability of a property financing. Specific terms remain dependent on the project in question and the individual credit decision of the financing institution.
Scheidler explained that, after long-standing collaboration, the team knows exactly what clients and business partners require. What is in demand are reliable assessments, swift processing, accessibility, and financing concepts aligned with the personal life circumstances of the buyers. For the fresh start, administrative workflows were specifically scrutinised to determine which are truly necessary, enabling working hours to be focused primarily on advisory and client support.
Focus on property developers and broker partners
A key focus of commercial activity lies in institutional cooperation with estate agents and property developers. The advisory firm supports prospective buyers from the initial determination of their financing framework through to the banks' final credit approval. The stated objective is to establish certainty at an early stage and advance property transactions on a reliable basis.
- —Early determination of a secured financing framework for prospective buyers
- —Lean cost structures to achieve viable pricing advantages
- —Support throughout the entire credit decision process until completion
- —Close coordination with partnering brokers and property developers
