t RISMedia's 28th Annual Power Broker Reception & Dinner, held at the Renaissance Boston Seaport Hotel, Heather Stenson was announced as the 2024 Real Estate Rookie of the Year. A REALTOR with Connect Realty in The Woodlands, Texas, Stenson achieved 37 transactions totaling over $7.3 million during her first year in real estate.
The award, sponsored by Colibri Real Estate, recognizes new-agent success and professionalism. Tina Lapp, head of Customer Experience, Instruction & Operations for Colibri, presented the award to Stenson alongside Brian Joyner, vice president of sales. "Tonight is a celebration of success and adaptability," said Lapp, highlighting the achievements of the five regional Rookie of the Year winners.
Stenson's commitment to continuous learning, modern marketing technologies, and helping others navigate their real estate journey earned her an outstanding reputation among clients and peers. Upon accepting the award, Stenson expressed gratitude and surprise at her achievement, crediting her broker, family, and fellow nominees for their support.
The Power Broker Reception & Dinner honored the Top 500 brokers in RISMedia's 2024 Power Broker Report. RISMedia Founder & CEO John Featherston welcomed over 250 guests, emphasizing the importance of building relationships to move forward in 2025. NAR leaders David Legaz and Anthony Lamacchia also addressed the crowd, discussing industry change and the need for leadership.
Industry leaders were honored with national awards during the event. Adam Contos received RISMedia's On the Shoulders of Giants award for his contributions to the real estate industry. Lennox Scott was awarded the Real Estate Leadership Award for embracing innovation and exercising resilience to blaze new paths to success.
Earlier that day, RISMedia held its 28th annual Power Broker Forum, titled "Ready for the Future: The Broker Playbook for a Stand-Out 2025." Industry leaders discussed trends, opportunities, and strategies for overcoming challenges ahead.
