nside the Hamptons home of Sybil and David Yurman lies a testament to their shared passions for nature, art, and each other. The couple's Amagansett estate, surrounded by a beech tree forest, was initially drawn to its "wild and lush" landscape. A majestic red Japanese maple greets visitors at the entrance, setting the tone for the serene atmosphere within.

The Yurmans' six-bedroom home, designed by Eugene L. Futterman, boasts a modernist design with a Tennessee stacked stone facade. Over the years, they have renovated the property to create an open space between the kitchen and living room, as well as updating their primary bedroom. The interior features a spacious studio where David Yurman sketches and welds, while Sybil paints.

The couple's love story began in 1968 when David was working for sculptor Hans Van de Bovenkamp. Sybil interviewed for a job at the studio, and it wasn't long before they started living together and creating jewelry pieces. Their company, which would eventually become a luxury brand with over 49 stores and 1,500 employees, was born from their shared creativity.

Nature has been a constant source of inspiration for David Yurman's work. His childhood love for horses and his fascination with frogs led to the creation of iconic designs like the cable bracelet. Sybil, an avid collector of antiques and curios, has also contributed to the company's success by funding their early business ventures from her artwork.

The couple's home is a reflection of their artistic collaboration, with David test-driving new jewelry pieces in his studio next door. Their days begin at 8:30 or 9 a.m., where they sit together at the kitchen table to work on their latest creations. As they continue to inspire each other, Sybil and David Yurman remain a testament to the power of love and collaboration in art and business.
