onica Minolta Acquires Real Estate Trust Beneficiary Interests for Tokyo Site Hino
Tokyo, June 6, 2025 - Konica Minolta has acquired real estate trust beneficiary interests for the land of Tokyo Site Hino in Hino City, Tokyo. This move enables the company to continue utilizing the site as a major base for research and development and other functions.
In 2017 and 2018, Konica Minolta transferred the land through a sale and leaseback transaction to raise cash and invest in new businesses. As part of its Medium-term Business Plan (2023-2025), the company has been working to strengthen its financial foundation by reducing interest-bearing liabilities.
Given the rise in global interest rates since last year, Konica Minolta has acquired real estate trust beneficiary interests for Tokyo Site Hino to further reduce expenses related to leases. The transaction amount is 18.865 billion yen and will be included in the forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.
Key details of the acquisition:
* Land area: 151,610 square meters
* Location: 1 Sakura-machi, Hino, Tokyo
