P
atrick Carroll has had one of his criminal cases dismissed after a Florida state attorney dropped an aggravated stalking charge against him in Tampa. His ex-wife, Lindsey Truex, had accused Carroll of violating a temporary restraining order, but the state attorney determined that phone calls allegedly made by Carroll to Truex occurred after the order expired on July 12. The case was reassigned from Hillsborough County State Attorney Susan Lopez due to a conflict of interest.
Carroll's spokesperson declined comment on the matter. As a multifamily syndicator and real estate entrepreneur, Carroll has had several run-ins with law enforcement this year. In Los Angeles, he was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in public and evading a police officer after leading officers on a brief chase. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and has an upcoming hearing on November 22.
Carroll also faced scrutiny earlier this year when he filmed himself firing a shotgun on his boat behind his Miami Beach home, prompting a court order for a three-day mental health evaluation and temporary surrender of his guns.
