omebuyers should be aware that AI‑enhanced images are increasingly used to make listings pop. While many agents simply shoot glossy photos with wide‑angle lenses or drones, some images are digitally altered beyond normal editing. Real‑estate broker Linsey Gridley says she encounters AI‑modified shots regularly and insists on labeling them to avoid misleading clients. “If it’s my listing, I’ll label it,” she says, “so buyers aren’t disappointed when the on‑site view differs from the online photo.” California’s new law, effective Jan. 1, mandates that any digitally altered image posted online must be clearly marked and displayed alongside the original.
