nywhere Real Estate has appointed Barri Rafferty as its chief communications officer and head of public affairs. Reporting to president and CEO Ryan Schneider, Rafferty will oversee the company's PR, communications, government relations, and events functions. She brings an outside-in perspective, having previously held senior roles at Sodali & Co, Wells Fargo, and Ketchum.
Rafferty succeeds Trey Sarten, who left in March to relocate abroad. Anywhere Real Estate's portfolio includes prominent brands such as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, and Sotheby's International Realty. The company recently named DeVries Global its U.S. market brand communications agency of record.
Rafferty's appointment comes as Anywhere Real Estate reports a revenue increase to $1.2 billion in Q1, with a net loss improvement of $23 million year over year. She expressed excitement about elevating the Anywhere brand and leveraging effective strategies to enhance its iconic real estate brands.
