ppFolio has unveiled new artificial intelligence capabilities at the National Apartment Association's Apartmentalize conference, enhancing its platform Realm-X with features aimed at automating property management tasks. The company introduced Realm-X Performers, AI tools designed to handle specific operational processes independently.
According to AppFolio, this technology marks a shift towards "agentic operations," where generative AI responds to input and takes proactive steps to manage workflows. Kyle Triplett, senior vice president of product, said the addition of Realm-X Performers closes the gap between task-based software and true operational efficiency.
The update follows data from AppFolio's 2025 Property Management Benchmark Report, which identified occupancy rates as the top concern for property managers. Traditional tools have limited the industry by focusing on tasks rather than results. The new tech aims to address this issue by automating tasks such as tenant acquisition and maintenance requests through Realm-X Leasing Performer and Realm-X Maintenance Performer.
These features are integrated into Realm-X Flows, AppFolio's automation engine, which has improved lead-to-showing conversion rates for users by 73%. The company also reports that Realm-X has helped customers save an average of 10 hours per week on administrative tasks. Additionally, the redesigned interface FolioSpace and new services through AppFolio's partnership with Second Nature are part of this development.
