hristian Olson, a real estate investor and former policy analyst in the commissioner of state lands' office, has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for commissioner of state lands in the 2026 election. As a resident of Little Rock, Olson is seeking to replace Heber Springs Republican Tommy Land, who has served as commissioner since 2019 and was reelected in 2022. However, Land is term-limited and cannot seek reelection.
Lance Restum, a Bryant Republican, had previously formed an exploratory committee for the same position in August. The current commissioner's office has confirmed that Tommy Land will not be running for another office.
