A
ssociated Bank in Slinger, WI is closing its doors permanently on January 31, 2025 at 5 p.m. A notice at the bank confirms this change. The property, a 2.65-acre commercial site, has been sold for $1,148,800 with an estimated fair market value of $1,159,000.
This marks the second bank to close in Slinger, following Horicon Bank's closure earlier this fall. The location was once home to State Bank of Slinger, which moved from its original site on Washington Street and Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive in 1976.
The area has a rich banking history dating back to 1904 when the Madigan Building was constructed in Schleisingerville. A second bank, Farmer's State Bank, opened in 1913, and the two merged into State Bank of Slinger in 1932. The banks later became Farmer's and Merchants Bank before merging with Associated Bank in 1992.
The property is now under new ownership, but details on the buyer and future plans are not yet available.
