egendary New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has found a buyer for his Nantucket beachfront cottage, just five days after listing the property. The 73-year-old football legend purchased the three-bedroom, two-bathroom abode in 2014 for $2.45 million and was asking $3.895 million.
Belichick is preparing to start his new role as head coach of the University of North Carolina football team after 24 seasons with the Patriots, during which the team won six Super Bowls. The sale of the cottage is contingent on certain conditions, but Belichick has accepted an offer.
The property features a vaulted living room with stone fireplace and views of the beach and conservation land. It exudes old-world charm with wooden walls, built-in bookshelves, and modern amenities. Belichick boasts a net worth of $70 million and owns several properties in Massachusetts, including one he's building just down the street from this cottage.
Belichick purchased his first Massachusetts home for $1.4 million in 2006 and has since acquired multiple properties on Nantucket, including a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home he bought for $4.8 million in 2024. He also owns a Florida condo worth an estimated $3.7 million.
The sale comes as Belichick faces controversy over his relationship with 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. The couple has been the subject of public scrutiny, including a roast by rapper Snoop Dogg and criticism from former players Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.
