Bond Denied for Two Miami Brothers Accused of Sex Crimes

Two Real Estate Brothers Arrested After FBI Raid on Miami Home Over Allegations of Drugging and Rape

A
luxury real estate broker and his identical twin brother appeared in a Florida courtroom on Thursday, facing charges of sexual assault as part of a long-running sex trafficking scheme. Their co-founder brother is also charged in the case. Oren and Alon Alexander, both 37, were held without bond by Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer until a hearing Friday, where their attorney will attempt to secure bail. State prosecutors argue that both men are flight risks.

The brothers' attorney, Joel Denaro, said he plans to make a bail proposal to the state. Oren and Alon Alexander appeared at the hearing via video wearing protective vests with exposed arms. Their other brother, Tal Alexander, 38, was in a separate Miami federal courtroom on Wednesday, facing charges related to the sex trafficking indictment involving all three.

The luxury real estate firm Official, co-founded by Oren and Tal Alexander, specializes in high-end properties for billionaire clients. Federal prosecutors allege that the brothers worked together to drug, assault, and rape dozens of victims between 2010 and 2021. The Florida charges involve specific incidents against known victims.

Prosecutors claim the brothers used deception, fraud, and coercion to entice victims to travel or attend parties, covering expenses and promising romantic relationships. At Thursday's hearing, Oren Alexander asked for release on bail due to his wife's pregnancy, but was denied by Judge Glazer. The brothers' attorney argued that they are not flight risks.

U.S. prosecutors say the women who were victimized were often provided drugs, including cocaine and GHB, and some were surreptitiously drugged at parties or events. In one Florida case, a woman reported being gang-raped at Alon Alexander's apartment in 2016 after attending a barbecue. Another incident involved Oren Alexander allegedly assaulting a woman at his apartment in 2017 after giving her a glass of wine that made her feel weak and unable to control her body.
