he Builders of Color Coalition and NorthBridge Partners' Coffee Connectors co-hosted the 2024 Boston Student Summit on November 8, 2024, at One Financial Boston. The event brought together 120 first-generation and underrepresented college students from nearly 25 colleges and universities to explore career opportunities in commercial real estate (CRE).
The summit featured interactive sessions, presentations, and networking opportunities designed to introduce students to the dynamic world of CRE. Attendees engaged with professionals from top companies like The Davis Companies, Colliers, and Janey Construction Management.
"This event is a crucial step toward creating pathways for underrepresented students in commercial real estate," said Dave Madan, Founder of Builders of Color Coalition. "We're proud to offer them a platform to learn, connect, and envision their future careers."
Twenty-three sponsors supported the summit, demonstrating the industry's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Each attendee received a $250 stipend to alleviate financial barriers. The event allowed students to network with leaders, gain insights into CRE career paths, and access valuable resources.
The 2024 Boston Student Summit left a lasting impact on participants, inspiring them to pursue opportunities in commercial real estate while expanding their professional networks. This initiative promotes diversity and inclusion within the industry by providing young professionals with support and resources.
