arson City Community Development is teaming up with the Northern Nevada Development Authority and Nevada Rural Housing (NRH) to offer free training for real estate agents on NRH's first-time homebuyer programs. This initiative aims to address concerns raised by community members during the Master Plan Update listening sessions, where they expressed difficulties in affording housing in Carson City.
As a result, many first-time homebuyers are purchasing homes in neighboring communities instead of staying local. Community Development Director Hope Sullivan notes that this partnership will not only benefit residents but also contribute to a stronger local workforce. NRH's homeownership programs have already helped over 10,000 Nevada families achieve their dream of homeownership.
The training session on November 13 at Adams Hub will provide real estate agents with the necessary information about these programs. In return for participating, agents will be featured on NRH's website as partners and listed under agent referrals for interested homebuyers. Space is limited, so registration is required through https://nvrural.org/agent-workshop/. For more information or questions, contact Hope Sullivan at [email protected].
