C
hris Wallace is making significant changes in his life as he prepares for a new presidential administration, including a major shift on the residential real estate front. The veteran broadcaster and his wife have listed their Kalorama neighborhood home in Washington D.C. for $6.4 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. This move comes just days after Wallace announced his departure from CNN, where he had worked following a long tenure at Fox News.

The sale of the property would translate to approximately $914 per square foot, a significant increase from the original purchase price of $1.1 million in 1997. The Georgian Revival home has undergone updates over the years, including a renovated kitchen and serving as the backdrop for Wallace's wedding to his wife, Lorraine.

The 7,000-square-foot brick home features four bedrooms, an oversized bay window, marble fireplace mantel, private office, gym, and in-law suite. While the Wallaces intend to maintain a small home in Washington D.C., they are relocating their primary residence to Annapolis, Maryland.

Kalorama is one of Washington's most prestigious neighborhoods, having been home to notable figures such as former President Barack Obama, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Jeff Bezos, who purchased the largest home in D.C. for $23 million in 2017. Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson recently put his Kalorama home on the market.

Wallace cited the changing political landscape as a reason to sell their longtime D.C. residence, stating it "seemed like an appropriate time" to make the move. Michael Rankin of TTR Sotheby's International Realty holds the listing for the property.
