iami's Real Estate Magnetism Continues to Attract Global Buyers
Colombia has emerged as the top country searching for South Florida real estate online, according to a recent report by the MIAMI Association of REALTORS. This marks the 35th consecutive month that Colombia has secured a spot in the top two countries searching Miami real estate.
The surge in interest from global buyers can be attributed to changes in government policies abroad, which have led investors to seek secure and appreciating assets in Miami, often referred to as the capital of Latin America. As Eddie Blanco, 2025 MIAMI Chairman of the Board, notes, "Miami has had 13 consecutive years of price appreciation, making it an attractive destination for those looking to invest in real estate."
In February 2025, over 140 countries searched MiamiRealtors.com, with the top 10 countries coming from four continents: North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The top 10 countries searching MiamiRealtors.com in February 2025 are:

Florida remains the top U.S. destination for foreign buyers, accounting for 20% of all sales in 2024, according to NAR's Profile of International Transactions in U.S. Residential Real Estate. The Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach area accounts for nearly half of all international home sales in Florida.
Miami's prime property market remains a bargain compared to other global cities, with $1 million purchasing power equivalent to 60 square meters of prime property, according to the Knight Frank Wealth Report. This is significantly more than major cities like Monaco, New York, and London.
