Comedian Matt Rife Buys Ed and Lorraine Warren's Haunted Home and Museum

Former home of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in Connecticut.

C
omedian Matt Rife has made a spooky purchase - the Connecticut home and occult museum of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The centuries-old farmhouse is considered one of the most significant pieces of paranormal history in the world, thanks to the Warrens' extensive investigations that inspired movies like "The Conjuring" and "The Amityville Horror."

Rife bought the property with his friend Elton Castee, a YouTube star, and has become the "legal guardian" of the infamous Annabelle doll. He's a huge fan of the paranormal and considers the Warrens to be pioneers in demonology and ghost hunting.

The museum houses over 750 haunted artifacts, including fragments from Eastern Airlines Flight 401 and an organ that plays on its own. The Annabelle doll is believed to have a "demonic" presence attached to it after allegedly terrorizing two roommates in the 1970s.

Rife plans to reopen the house for overnight stays and museum tours, allowing visitors to experience the haunted history of the property. He's excited about his new hobby, but joked that collecting stamps might be safer. The property needs some repairs before it can be shared with the public, including addressing fire-safety issues.

The Warrens' home and museum were previously closed due to zoning issues in 2019. Rife and Castee are eager to make the property a premier paranormal investigation location, as they've become the new owners of this haunted piece of history.
