OMPASS Expands Global Reach with Acquisition of @properties and Christie's International Real Estate

    In a significant move, COMPASS has acquired @properties and Christie's International Real Estate for $444 million. The deal marks a major expansion for the company, which is now poised to become a global real estate leader.

    @properties, based in Chicago, is one of the top residential brokerages in the US by sales volume, operating in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Atlanta through its Ansley Real Estate brand. The firm acquired Christie's International Real Estate in 2021 and rebranded as @properties Christie's International Real Estate in 2022.

    Christie's International Real Estate has a network of over 100 independently owned affiliates across 50 countries and territories. Following the acquisition, their Northern California-based Sereno brand will become an independent brokerage with a network affiliation.

    The acquisition also includes Proper Title and Proper Rate's connected title and mortgage businesses, as well as Suburban Jungle's lead-generation services.
