Congressional Real Estate Caucus unveils bipartisan housing plan

aucus will unveil a housing proposal today. Mark Alford (R‑Mo.), Lou Correa (D‑Calif.), Tracey Mann (R‑Kan.) and Brittany Pettersen (D‑Colo.) ask HUD, Agriculture, Veterans Affairs, Treasury secretaries and FHFA director to jointly recommend housing programs and mortgage costs to Congress. Alford says goal is to unlock a strategy as supply lags demand. With backing from National Association of REALTORS, they plan to attach bill to version of Senate package. Rep. Mike Flood (R‑Neb.) told Semafor Financial Services Committee will make housing a priority this month today.
