Georgia-based logistics firm, BroadRange Logistics, has significantly expanded its presence in Texas by leasing a massive 1.22 million-square-foot facility at NorthPort Logistics Center in Conroe. The deal marks the largest lease at a speculative industrial development in Greater Houston's history and more than doubles BroadRange's footprint in the state. The company will occupy the entire NorthPort Logistics Center, which was completed in the first quarter of this year after breaking ground in September 2022.
BroadRange's CEO, Ari Milstein, cited industry trends such as reshoring and growing demand for flexible warehousing and distribution as drivers behind the expansion. The lease tripled BroadRange's Texas presence, which also includes a 648,000-square-foot warehouse in Generation Park. Lovett Industrial and Cresset Real Estate Partners represented the property owners, while Strategic Real Estate Partners represented BroadRange in the negotiations.
The location of NorthPort Logistics Center, situated near Interstate 45 north of Houston, was a key factor in securing BroadRange as a tenant, according to Lovett Industrial president Charlie Meyer. This is the second collaboration between Lovett and Cresset, following their work on the Wiley Business Center near Dallas, with additional joint projects in development.
