Crypto Invades Ultra‑Luxury Real Estate in Avalon & Stone Harbor

Two $25M oceanfront homes—Garden State’s priciest public listings—are now available via cash, financing, or crypto.

N
ew Jersey’s two priciest public‑market homes now welcome offers in cryptocurrency. Broker Jack Vizzard announced that buyers can submit crypto bids for a $26.5 million new‑construction estate on the 5400 block of Dune Drive in Avalon and a nearly $25 million double‑lot property in southern Stone Harbor. Vizzard, with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, says these are the first listings in the Philadelphia corridor or Southern New Jersey to advertise crypto acceptance.

After studying digital currency, Vizzard believes it will become a standard payment method, especially for affluent investors who have built wealth in crypto and seek more stable assets. “We’re expanding the buyer pool to those who want a safer investment,” he explained. “A mortgage can be structured with 20 % crypto down, but the whole purchase in crypto offers the fastest turnaround—minutes to hours instead of weeks—and eliminates exchange fees for overseas buyers.” Sellers also benefit: they can hold the crypto, ride its price swings, or convert it to cash at closing.

The idea was sparked by Opendoor Technologies’ recent announcement to accept crypto offers in multiple markets, and by BlackRock CEO Larry Fink’s 60 Minutes interview where he likened crypto to gold in a diversified portfolio. Redfin surveys show a growing number of young buyers liquidating crypto for down payments. President Trump has urged Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to consider crypto assets in mortgage approvals, and Christie’s International Real Estate launched a $1 billion luxury portfolio that accepts digital currency.

Both Jersey Shore properties are expansive, modern homes in affluent ZIP codes and have been on the market since summer. The Avalon residence spans 7,240 sq ft, features six bedrooms, seven full baths, and three half baths, sits 30 ft above the shoreline, and offers panoramic ocean and bay views from the master suite. It includes a resort‑style pool, hot tub, full gym, sauna, and a four‑stop elevator. The Stone Harbor listing covers a double lot with two recently renovated homes totaling 10 bedrooms, five full baths, and two half baths. Vizzard suggests the site could become a compound or host a custom 6,600+ sq ft home with sweeping ocean vistas.

Since announcing crypto acceptance, Vizzard has received numerous inquiries and must vet each for authenticity.
