sana Partners has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of a 75,000-square-foot shopping center in Dallas' Lakewood neighborhood. The North Carolina-based real estate investor purchased the Skillman Live Oak shopping center from BGO, Sun Life's real estate arm, for an undisclosed amount. JLL represented BGO in the sale, which closed last week.
The property is 77% leased to tenants such as Society Bakery and Black Swan Yoga, with opportunities to fill remaining spaces after former tenants like Buzzbrews vacated. This acquisition aligns with Asana's strategy of acquiring and enhancing retail properties in vibrant urban neighborhoods. The firm already has a significant presence in Dallas, with over three dozen sites across various areas.
Asana is also planning a $27 million redevelopment project in the Dallas Design District, further demonstrating its commitment to revitalizing urban retail spaces. This acquisition marks another notable deal for Asana, which has been actively investing in South Florida and other markets.
