illionaire hedge fund manager Dan Loeb has sold his waterfront mansion on Miami Beach for approximately $35.5 million. The 14,000-square-foot, six-bedroom property at 6440 North Bay Road was purchased by an LLC named after the address, which incorporated last month. Loeb, founder and CEO of Third Point, had bought the home in late 2020 for $20 million.
The mansion, built by developer Peter Fine and designed by Choeff Levy Fischman, features a rooftop deck, wine cellar, two-bedroom guest wing, infinity pool, dock, and home theater. The property was initially listed for $45 million last year before being reduced to $41.5 million in June. It was removed from the market shortly after.
Loeb's sale is one of several high-profile transactions on North Bay Road, a street lined with homes owned by billionaires and celebrities. In recent months, Richard Saghian paid $30 million for two adjacent properties, while David and Victoria Beckham purchased a waterfront mansion for $72.3 million. Barry Diller also bought a 1.5-acre waterfront lot for $45 million in April.
Loeb's net worth is estimated at around $3.2 billion according to Forbes. The sale of his Miami Beach home marks the second time he has sold a property on North Bay Road, following the teardown sale of his house at 2220 North Bay Road for $28.3 million in 2022.
