oris Mannsfeld, a 56-year-old former Colorado real estate developer and University of Denver alumnus, was found dead in Belize with a gunshot wound to the back of his neck. The incident occurred at his luxury development project, Cocoplum Villas in Maya Beach, on Friday night. According to police, Mannsfeld's death appears to be a homicide.

Mannsfeld had a long history in real estate, starting as a licensed agent in Colorado before moving to Belize in 2006. However, his business dealings were also marred by controversy, including a high-profile fraud case that resulted in the deaths of two associates.

The email instructed recipients to release sensitive information if anything happened to him, sparking concerns about potential connections between his business dealings and his murder. As of Sunday afternoon, no suspects had been identified or arrested in connection with the case.
