00 West Cummings Park
WOBURN, MA – Communities United has shifted its headquarters from Lexington to a 2,360‑sq‑ft space at 500 West Cummings Park. The nonprofit, founded in 1970 under Head Start, delivers low‑cost early childhood education and social services to families in the greater Boston area who are at or below the poverty line.
The new office sits beside existing children’s centers in Lexington, Waltham, and Woburn. Together, the organization serves hundreds of kids aged 15 months to five years across 11 communities along the Route 128 corridor.
“Because of our nonprofit focus, we needed a location that offered value and easy access to our service area,” said Rob Yacobian, Senior Leasing Director at Cummings Properties. “The corner suite at 500 West Cummings Park provides parking, proximity to highways, and Washington Street amenities.” Yacobian worked with Bruce Lee of Lee Partners of New England and Executive Director Mary Mastroelli to close the lease.
All rental income at Cummings Properties goes to philanthropy; over $600 million has been awarded to Boston‑area nonprofits.
At its new headquarters, Communities United joins other child‑focused nonprofits such as Plummer Youth Promise, Connor’s Kindness Project, Science from Scientists, and Mass Teacher Resources.
