Egypt Sherrod Moves Forward with New Project Following 'Married to Real Estate' Cancellation

Sherrod launches nonprofit 1000 Women Owned in March.

E
gypt Sherrod is pivoting her focus from helping clients find their dream homes to empowering women in business. After the cancellation of Married to Real Estate on HGTV, she shared an inspiring message promoting her nonprofit organization, 1000 Women Owned, on Instagram.

"To the woman carrying silent dreams and loud responsibilities," she wrote, "we see you." Sherrod acknowledged that many women are juggling multiple roles and facing self-doubt. She reassured them that it's never too late to pursue their goals and that they have the power to choose themselves and grow.

Sherrod created 1000 Women Owned to support women like herself who face similar challenges. "I built a space for you, not to impress you, but to remind you of your strength and potential," she said. The organization aims to empower 1,000 women-owned businesses by 2030, recognizing that when one woman succeeds, others are lifted with her.

Sherrod's message comes after announcing the cancellation of Married to Real Estate in June. Despite the setback, she expressed gratitude for the show's four seasons and the opportunities it brought. The series recently received a Daytime Emmys nomination for Outstanding Instructional/How-To Program, which Sherrod humorously noted was a "first" for a canceled show.

Fans responded with love and support to Sherrod's post, praising her as an inspiration and thanking her for speaking directly to their hearts.
