llen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have decided to sell their Cotswolds estate, Kitesbridge Farm, after purchasing it just over a year ago. The historic property, set in the quiet village of Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, boasts 43 acres of rolling landscapes and wildflower-filled meadows, about two hours from London by car.
The farmhouse, listed for £22.5 million or $30.5 million, features a main house from the 1700s with six bedrooms, a two-bedroom guest house, heated indoor pool, workout room, helicopter hangar, and a barn-turned-bar. The property's 16,600 square feet of living space have been updated while retaining period charm.
DeGeneres and de Rossi undertook a comprehensive renovation, focusing on modernizing finishes while preserving stone walls, beamed ceilings, wide-plank floors, and farmhouse-style furnishings. A central courtyard with tall grasses and paved lounge areas allows for ample sunlight to flow throughout the interior spaces, creating an English take on easy indoor-outdoor living.
The Cotswolds is a popular spot for British celebrities, including David and Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss, due to its natural beauty and sense of seclusion. Kitesbridge Farm is listed with Andrew Barnes of United Kingdom Sotheby's International Realty.
