fter redefining Dubai’s skyline, Emaar Properties now seeks growth overseas, with the United States and China as likely targets, founder Mohamed Alabbar told Reuters NEXT in Abu Dhabi. He cited the U.S. housing crisis and high prices in California and New York as opportunities, jokingly warning Mr. Trump of the problem. Emaar is studying U.S. entry through acquisitions or joint ventures, though no cities, timelines or budgets are set. Alabbar praised China’s ascent, remarking he would have learned Mandarin if younger. He said not pursue reconstruction Gaza, focusing ventures. He also declined to involve the company in Gaza rebuilding, insisting Israel should handle it, and reiterated his focus on shareholder returns.
