ighthouse School Unveils Breakwater House in Chelmsford, MA

    Erland Construction and TBA Architects have completed Breakwater House, a 23,000sf facility on the Lighthouse School campus. This state-of-the-art building centralizes bioeducational, vocational, and therapeutic services for special needs students, aligning with the school's 56-year mission to nurture and empower.

    Breakwater House brings all curriculum and educational services under one roof, featuring an indoor play space, library, art room, nurse and teaching offices, and additional classrooms. Thoughtfully designed to promote total life development, the facility also includes a new parking lot to support the growing school community.

    The completion of Breakwater House marks an important milestone for Lighthouse School, unifying students and faculty in a single location and paving the way for future program expansion.
