t just 35, Michael Fallon is a trailblazing CEO of The Fallon Company, a leading commercial real estate investment and development firm. As the youngest CEO in his field, he spearheads the company's vision, mission, and strategic direction.
In an exclusive interview with Boston Real Estate Times’s Face-to-Face, Mr. Fallon shares his insights on the company's growth plans and his optimistic outlook for the region's Life Sciences market. Prior to becoming CEO in 2022, he held key positions at The Fallon Company, including Chief Investment Officer and Senior Vice President.
Mr. Fallon serves on various boards and committees, such as the Boston Market Council and Urban Land Institute advisory board. He is also Chairman of the Massachusetts State College Building Authority and a trustee of The Fallon Company Charitable Foundation. His civic leadership earned him recognition as a 2022 Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.
A graduate of Boston University, Bentley University, and Wentworth Institute of Technology, Mr. Fallon has a strong educational background in international relations, finance, and construction management. Under his leadership, The Fallon Company has completed several notable projects across the east coast, including Fan Pier in Boston's Seaport.
Fan Pier is a 21-acre mixed-use development featuring three million square feet of residential, commercial, and retail space. This pedestrian-friendly neighborhood seamlessly connects Boston's central business district with its evolving waterfront. Other notable projects include Centre South in Charlotte and Raleigh Crossing in Raleigh.
The Fallon Company has also made significant strides in Nashville, breaking ground on East Bank Central Waterfront Initial Development, a 30-acre site adjacent to downtown and the Tennessee Titans' stadium. This project marks one of the most substantial public-private partnerships in U.S. history, reimagining Nashville's 338-acre East Bank.
The company's portfolio also includes The Colwick, a vibrant multi-family development in Charlotte's Cotswold community, and several hospitality properties in Boston, such as The Westin Waterfront Seaport District and the Marriott Renaissance Boston. With its upcoming projects like 66 Cambridge Street and 500 Huntington Avenue, The Fallon Company continues to shape the urban landscape of major cities across the country.
