Ex-Jonesboro Mall Sold at Auction to Local Buyer

Turtle Creek Jonesboro, LLC to close on property, says Josh Brown of Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate.

I
n Jonesboro, Arkansas, commercial developer Josh Brown announced that the former Mall at Turtle Creek has changed hands. Brown told K8 News that a long‑time client of his firm, Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development, purchased the 38.89‑acre site at 3000 E. Highland Dr. at last week’s auction for an undisclosed amount. The transaction will be finalized by Turtle Creek Jonesboro, LLC, a newly formed entity whose incorporator, Keith Bayird of Paragould, filed the paperwork on September 12.

Brown said the new owner plans to erect a 96,000‑square‑foot building to house national tenants, many of whom previously occupied the mall before the 2020 tornado. “We already have a serious anchor tenant interested, which will inject fresh life into the property,” he added. Haag Brown has spent five years helping retailers return to the area after the tornado, and Brown expressed enthusiasm about the project’s potential benefits for the community.
