New insights from Bank of America's 2025 Homebuyer Insights Report reveal widespread uncertainty among homeowners and prospective buyers about the state of the housing market. A significant majority are unsure whether now is a good time to buy, with:
* 60% of respondents unable to determine if buying a home is a good idea right now.
* 75% of prospective buyers expecting home prices and interest rates to fall, leading them to delay purchasing until then.
